Stage 3: Binche/Épernay (214 km, hilly)

It is the first time that the medieval city of Binche, with its carnival listed by UNESCO as world heritage, has welcomed the race, but it is nevertheless a stronghold of cycling. It was the starting place of the Flèche Wallonne and, since 1911, it organises the semi-classic Binche-Chimay-Binche cycle race. Épernay, in Champagne, has already welcomed the race several times, but it is only the second time after 1963 that a finish will be played out there. A hilly third stage of 214 kilometres with a series of climbs in the last 30 kilometres.
