David Bowie in Arabic. Yara Lapidus adapts the hit song "The Man who Sold the World", with Gail Ann Dorsey, the British singer's famous bass guitarist. A song of hope for a Middle East in torment but so dear to her heart. The artist is in concert on 19 June 2024, as part of the Arabofolies festival at the Arab World Institute in Paris.
Having become pregnant in the midst of Morocco's debate on abortion, Lila seeks a way to end her pregnancy. Her friend Nisrine, a militant feminist, accompanies her to see a gynaecologist where they meet Malika, mother of five. Together, they head off on a road trip across Morocco. The graphic novel "Des Femmes Guettant l'Annonce" (Women awaiting an announcement), by Fedwa Misk, is illustrated by Aude Massot and published by Sarbacane.

Leeroy is performing at Le Chiringuito, with DJs from a wide range of backgrounds (Molecule, DJ Adyles, Thierry Arnold (Sounds around), Thomas Lavanchy, Ali Paco). In the 1960s, Lebanon was a cultural beacon in the Middle East, with a cinema on almost every street corner. Most have since closed and the films produced at the time are also threatened with disappearing. To safeguard this unique heritage, the Jocelyne Saab Association, named for the Lebanese film-director who died in 2019, is training a new generation of restorers.
