Through their satirical and incisive songs, screenplays and other narrative formats, notably on social media, Michelle and Noel Keserwany turn traditional codes upside down, offering an opportunity to hear women's voices and stories that are rarely expressed. Until 31 December 2022 they will be participating in the Lyon Contemporary Art Biennale, where Lebanon takes the spotlight.
"Je Chante un Secret" (I Sing a Secret) is the title of the new album by Nawel Ben Kraïem: a musical echo to her eponymous anthology of poetry, released after the lockdown. Through her four languages (poetry, music, French, Arabic), she recounts the Tunisia of her childhood and the France of today, where she lives to the rhythm of North African sounds and ambiances. Nawel Ben Kraïem performs "Ma Région" (My Region).
"Lettre à Moi-Même" (Letter to Myself) is a series of short documentaries that offer a voice to figures from the Lebanese LGBTQ+ community. Domina, Moe and Soha talk about their situation today and express their hope for the future. A project launched by Omar Gabriel and Cyril Bassil and freely available on YouTube and Instagram.
