A "Creuse" pâté in Guéret
France meets Vanessa, daughter of two "children of the Creuse" who arrived on Reunion Island in the 1960s. Vanessa feels as much a native of Reunion as of the Creuse, a cultural mix that has also found its way into her cooking. She reinterprets a Creuse-style fondue using Creole spices.
