Built in 1713, the Hôtel de Beauharnais was once the property of Prince Eugène de Beauharnais, adopted son of Napoleon I. Its collections and interior design were the work of the greatest Parisian craftsmen of the time. Today it is the official residence of Germany's ambassador to France.
