Vienna, 1790. "Così Fan Tutte" marks Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's final collaboration with the librettist Lorenzo Da Ponte. Here, neither victims nor winners. Da Ponte offers the lovers a happy end, Mozart gives his music the power to heighten emotions, whether comic or high drama.
