Arriving in France in 2001 from Antananarivo, Harisoa settled in Plouguiel, Côtes-d'Armor. She then set about learning the language and dances of Brittany, that she went on to teach. Today, she cares for women suffering from Alzheimer's and helps her native country through the association Solidarité Trégor Madagascar.
